Daniel Brühl to play Formula One legend Niki Lauda

Daniel Brühl, Germany's Shooting Star 2003, will play Formula One legend Niki Lauda in 'RUSH', directed by Ron Howard. The film revolves around the competition between Lauda and his racing colleague James Hunt. German actress Alexandra Maria Lara and Australian actor Chris Hemsworth are also confirmed to join the cast.

Shooting of the British-German-US co-production is expected to start in Germany in February.
