Carey Mulligan to work with the Coen brothers

UK Shooting Star 2009 Carey Mulligan landed the female lead in the next feature by the Coen Brothers, INSIDE LLEWYN DAVIS. The Coens are writing, directing and producing the film with Scott Rudin. In the film, which follows a musician trying to enter the New York music scene in the 1960, Carey Mulligan will star opposite Oscar Isaac with whom she had already worked in DRIVE.

The British actress might also be cast for the lead role in an untitled project with Spike Jonze, about world leaders uniting to discuss disastrous events. Mulligan would join Joaquin Phoenix.

Currently she is shooting "The Great Gatsby" and will probably start shooting "Inside Llewyn Davis" in February. The Spike Jonze project could follow in spring.
