Cyron Melville, who is half Danish and half Scottish, has been featured in film and television productions since he was 10 when he was cast as the lead role in THE BEAST WITHIN (Carsten Rudolf). He became a household name in Denmark playing the role of Oliver in the Emmy-nominated TV series, "The Killing". Since then, he has played leading roles in a number of feature films, including TRIPLE DARE (Christina Rosendahl, 2006), LIFE HITS (Christian E. Christiansen, 2006) and KICK'N RUSH (Aage Rais-Nordentoft, 2004), which was invited to the Panorama section of the Berlin International Film Festival in 2004 as well as in Natasha Arthy's acclaimed feature film, FIGHTER, which screened at the Berlin Festival in 2008. For his role in FIGHTER, Cyron was nominated as "Best Supporting Actor" at The Danish Critics Award. Most recently, Cyron can be seen in the popular TV series, "Sommer" and in the title role in LOVE AND RAGE (aka DANIEL) by Morten Giese in 2009, for which he received the Best Actor award at the 2009 Marrakech International Film Festival and also a nomination as Best Male Actor for the 2010 Bodil Award.

Jury's comment: "With his photogenic looks and imposing physical presence, he has a candid look that engages an audience immediately, and his evident versatility will ensure his stature as an actor in the years ahead."
