Jury's comment: Saskia is able to transform herself and show an incredible range of emotions - without very much dialogue. She is a true natural talent and, with LORE, is making a phenomenal debut performance as she embarks on the transition from a child into a woman.
19 year-old Saskia first caught everyone's attention with her leading title role in Cate Shortland's LORE after previously appearing in a small part in Wolfgang Dinslage's FÜR ELISE. Since finishing school, she has had a supporting role in Vivian Naefe's TASTE OF APPLE SEEDS and is one of the leads in French director Denis Dercourt's HAPPY BIRTHDAY which was shooting in Germany in autumn 2012. Saskia won the "Aussie Oscar" (AACTA - Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards) in the category Best Young Actor for her performance in LORE. Up next for Saskia is WIR SIND JUNG. WIR SIND STARK, directed by Burhan Qurbani.
