European delights in the south of Spain: the Seville European Film Festival (SEFF), in cooperation with European Film Promotion (EFP), is to present a SHOOTING STARS film showcase as part of  the new festival edition which is running from November 4 - 11, 2011.

The selected films are:

Rudolf van den Berg's Tirza with 2011 Dutch SHOOTING STAR Sylvia Hoeks

Andres Veiel's If Not Us, Who with 2011 German SHOOTING STAR Alexander Fehling

Juanita Wilson's As If I Am Not There (also EFA nominated) with 2011 SHOOTING STAR Natasha Petrovic (FYR of Macedonia)

John Shank's Last Winter with the 2010 French SHOOTING STAR Anaïs Demoustier

Natasha Petrovic and Anaïs Demoustier will be the talents presenting their films at SEFF. As participants of the Touring SHOOTING STARS Film Programme, which is financially backed by the MEDIA Programme of the European Union, the young stars will be travelling as ambassadors for European cinema.

On the first weekend of the festival, a special focus will be placed on the films being presented to the Spanish audiences, press and film industry. They all star emerging young talents who were recently showcased as SHOOTING STARS - Europe's best young actors at the Berlin International Film Festival.

SEFF, in collaboration with EFP, will be organising various events for the SHOOTING STARS, including press meetings and a conference, as a promotion of the great talents "in front of the camera" in today's European cinema. Moreover, they will take part in the announcement ceremony of 24th European Film Awards nominations and have the chance to meet professionals from the Spanish film industry.

For the third time, the Seville European Film Festival will be teaming up with EFP. With its film programme - and especially the Eurimages competition section - the festival offers the audience a unique opportunity to see contemporary films from different European countries.
