For ten SHOOTING STARS selected as Europe's best young actors at past editions of the Berlin International Film Festival, the upcoming European Film Awards in Estonia (December 3-5) promises to be a whirlwind weekend of events. While four SHOOTING STARS have been nominated for their artistic achievements, another six talents will have the honour of presenting the winners of the European Film Awards on stage. In addition, European Film Promotion (EFP) will introduce a group of SHOOTING STARS 2010 with their latest films at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival. EFP's SHOOTING STARS programme is financially supported by its member organisations and the MEDIA Programme of the European Union.

Nominations for “European Actress 2010” at the upcoming European
Film Awards go to this year's SHOOTING STAR Zrinka Cvitešić from Croatia for
her role in On the Path by Jasmila Žbanic and Lotte Verbeek from The
Netherlands for her performance in Nothing Personal by Urszula Antoniak.
Moreover, nominations for “European Actor 2010” include Elio Germano, Italian SHOOTING
STAR 2008, for Our Life by Daniele Luchetti and Jakob Cedergren, Danish SHOOTING
STAR 2005, for Submarino by Thomas Vinterberg.
As special guests of the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival which
are partners of the European Film Academy this year, the following
SHOOTING STARS 2010 are presenters at the European Film Award ceremony: Agata Buzek (Poland), Kryštof Hádek (Czech Republic), Edward Hogg (UK), Michele Riondino (Italy), and Pihla Viitala (Finland). Alba Rohrwacher (SHOOTING STAR
Italy 2009) will also be attending to present the winners.
On the occasion of the European Capital of Culture year Tallinn 2011, the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (3-5 December) this year is part of Touring Shooting Stars Programme which was created as a follow-up to EFP's annual SHOOTING STARS event at the Berlinale. With the intention of increasing the awareness of European films and talent outside their country of origin, EFP is bringing six SHOOTING STARS 2010 from different European countries to the festival in Tallinn. Here, in Estonia's capital, these talented young actors will be put into the spotlight and introduced with their latest films to the press and local audiences.
In this year's circuit of The Touring Shooting Stars Programme, the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival is the fourth and final selected festival, following the International Rome Film Festival, the US' Hamptons International Film Festival and the CPH PIX Film Festival in Copenhagen.
